Dear Backyard Bounty community,

Thank you for everything you are doing in your garden to preserve habitat, create beautiful outdoor living spaces, manage stormwater, and increase native plantings. Backyard Bounty is honored to be part of your efforts.

To support this, we have hired a full-time horticulturist! We are very excited to announce that Byron Gwinn is joining Backyard Bounty starting August 16.

Byron is a seasoned horticulturist who comes to us from the United States Botanic Gardens on the National Mall. There he was co-designer and grower for the Exhibits & Displays team. A self-described “plant geek”, Byron has expertise in growing native, exotic, rare/endangered plants. Backyard Bounty is lucky to have him on our team.

Byron is a free resource for all existing Backyard Bounty clients and his primary job is to help our clients’ gardens become and remain fabulous. He will also be part of the Backyard Bounty Design team and will provide Edamarie and her team with the most current research and thinking on “all things plant” so they can incorporate the very best ideas into their designs.
