Rebecca loves sharing the beauty of ecological design. Growing up in the Southern Appalachians, she learned to appreciate mountain balds, bluegrass music and rhododendrons from a young age. After a decade as an academic historian and museum professional she got back outside and started designing and installing native landscapes in 2018. She enjoys designing formal and informal spaces and shaking up static American landscapes with lots of dynamic grasses and perennials. When she’s not getting her hands in the dirt or sketching out new plans, she’s usually running after a toddler or cooking up something good in the kitchen. Rebecca holds a Master’s in Sustainable Landscape Design from The George Washington University and a PhD in History from the University of Michigan. Her current favorite plant? Sisyrinchium angustifolium.
